OUR PARTNERED COUNSELORS

Heidi Langford
BA PSYCH, RSW, MSW
My name is Heidi Langford, BA Psych, RSW, MSW. I have an extensive background providing mental health support to individuals and families. This includes experience and training related to addictions, trauma, and various mental health issues. More recently I completed a Master of Social work with special focus on the topic of postpartum distress and maternal mental health. I currently work part-time in public service providing individual and family based mental health counselling. I also have a private practice called Three Stones Counselling, which is focused on interventions that support individuals and families through life transitions inclusive of perinatal issues, employment changes, and other developmental issues faced by families. My work is informed by various approaches including cognitive behavioural models which breakdown thoughts, feelings, behaviours, and provide skills to gain more clarity and calm while navigating intense emotions. I am passionate about supporting women to explore their feelings about motherhood and developing more empowering narratives about ourselves in this transition. When women and their families come to me for support they can expect a non-judgemental space to explore themselves and leave with solutions that they can feel good about.

Alina Lowenberger
- currently on maternity leave
RSW, CC-PMH
Hey there, my name is Alina and I am the face of Saorsa Wellness! A little about my background... I completed my Bachelor of Social Work in 2014 and started my career working in the education sector in a student and family support role. In 2020, I moved to a rural community and started working as a Clinical Counsellor with a local family services branch. This opportunity opened the doors to start working with many perinatal clients through our ongoing counselling services and the Rapid Access Counselling program with Counselling Connect - this is where I found my passion within this work. I started to recognize the limited services for the perinatal population while working with clients, as well as navigating my own difficult postpartum journey when my son was born in 2022.In 2024, I completed the certification process to become Canadian Perinatal Mental Health Certified (CC-PMH). Moving forward, I have more plans to complete further perinatal specific certifications in the coming years! My private practice has been going since 2020, with the primary focus on women's wellness. This is now shifting to perinatal wellness and support. Primary focus areas being perinatal anxiety, perinatal depression, mom rage, navigating mom and parental guilt, default parenting and Internal Family Systems (IFS) language/tools (note: I am not fully certified in IFS - we utilize language and tools within my scope of practice).
Education and relevant certifications:
•Bachelor of Social Work (BSW, RSW)
•Canadian Certified Perinatal Mental Health (CC-PMH)
•Internal Family Systems for Perinatal Populations
•Trauma Counselling Certificate

Amy Dyck
RSW, BSW
My name is Amy Dyck. I obtained a Bachelor of Social Work degree in 2008 and I am a Registered Social Worker with the Saskatchewan Association of Social Work. I proudly provide individual counselling services at Embark Counselling Inc in a welcoming, inclusive and safe space.
Perinatal mental health has resonated deeply with me for the past 10 years. My passion is rooted in my turbulent perinatal journey and reproductive challenges. I have two children who continually remind me of the value in prioritising mental health and seeking support when needed.
I have extensive experience in providing services in the human service field. This has included direct involvement with youth, individuals, caregivers, mothers and families who have faced significant trauma, loss, mental health and familial stressors.
I strongly believe in fostering a non-judgemental, trauma-informed, inclusive and safe environment for clients. This allows individuals to actively participate in their unique journey toward healing, vulnerability, resilience, acceptance and understanding of their experiences. My approach utilises several therapeutic modalities, which integrate solution-focused, strength-based and family systems theory. These approaches can be utilised to empower women to navigate challenges in mental health, loss, reproductive challenges and traumatic experiences during their journey.
I have recently attended foundational training on the applications of Internal Family Systems within the perinatal populations. I continue to prioritize ongoing professional development in the realm of infertility, reproductive trauma and perinatal mental health.

Angela Merzetti
LCT-C
Hey mama, I’m Angela!

I’m a Licensed Counselling Therapist-Candidate with the College of Counselling Therapists of New Brunswick. I graduated Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University in 2018. After a 7 year background supporting women in a domestic violence outreach role, I started my maternal mental practice when I was a few months postpartum with my twins. I absolutely love what I do, and have such a passion for helping women navigate motherhood.
I consider myself an integrative therapist, going with the flow of what my client needs in any given session, using a number of different frameworks and strategies as they become useful. I am fully perinatal mental health trained, and an EMDRIA approved EMDR trained therapist.
I pride myself on being authentic and relatable with my clients. I've yet to meet a client I didn't have something in common with, and I will take every opportunity to bond over our mutual interests and life experience. I won't hesitate to share some of myself with you when I think it will benefit you to know that I relate and understand. The relationship built between you and your therapist is responsible for about 80% of your success in therapy - the rest doesn't matter if I don't show up authentically.

Kayla Huszar
RSW
Motherhood is a wild ride, and let’s be real—it’s not all sunshine and Instagram-worthy moments. You’re doing your best to keep everyone’s world turning, and somewhere along the line, you’ve been told to “just talk it out” when things get tough. But here’s the thing: words can only take you so far, especially when your brain feels like it’s running on empty.
That’s where expressive arts therapy comes in. Think of it as a way to have a real, honest conversation with yourself—no talking required. It’s not about creating a picture-perfect piece of art; it’s about picking up some markers, moving your body, or just letting your hands do their thing (and trust me, it’s easier than it sounds). When you express yourself this way, you’re cutting through the mental clutter and tapping into something deeper.
The best part? This isn’t just about letting off steam—you’re connecting with those raw, intuitive parts of yourself that are often buried under the “mom” label. You’re not here to be fixed (because you’re not broken); you’re here to rediscover the amazing woman you are underneath all those layers of expectation.
And don’t stress about doing it “right.” The beauty of expressive arts is that there’s no right way to do it (and I’ll be with you every step of the way). It’s about how it makes you feel—no pressure, just possibilities. So, forget about perfection and let the process guide you to a deeper understanding of yourself. It might feel a little messy, but hey, so is life. Through this creative journey, you’ll start to see things more clearly—like who you are, what you need, and how to reclaim your space in the world.
You’ll begin to truly understand yourself, and that’s where the real magic—and healing—starts to happen. It’s about finding a way to express what words never could. In short, expressive arts therapy is like shouting your truth through a megaphone when the world expects you to stay quiet. So, why not book a consult call with Kayla today and explore how this can transform your life?

Kaitlin Kelly
RTC + Coach, BHSc, CACC, CSAT (candidate)
Life is a constant state of change, isn't it? But does each stage have to leave me feeling disoriented and disconnected? Has this been you? Entered into motherhood and now no longer know what lights your fire? Feeling overwhelmed with how to prioritize healing while keeping everything else afloat? Added another kiddo to the mix and now your partner feels like a stranger? Finding that your old ways of coping no longer cut it?
I am glad you are here! You are in the right place.
With 8 years of experience working in substance/sex addiction recovery, betrayal and infidelity trauma work, virtual and in-person counselling services, clinical assessment and crisis management, I have found two things to be true:
1. Connection to others is necessary, but connection to self is number one
2. All of us are doing the best we can with what we have to navigate this thing called life, but we could all use some help.
Areas of focus/specialties
I strive to provide a therapeutic virtual experience that prioritizes safety and stability while providing ongoing assessment and strength-based approaches to help you reach your goals. So how do we do that?

Dialectical Behavioral Therapy gives us the tangible tools to build emotional capacity, to understand our emotional landscape and develop a toolbox of skills to prioritize nervous system regulation.

More than My Work
I am a forever student, farm wife, momma and a gal who values connection and authenticity whether it comes in the form of catch up (with a good coffee of course), sharing space with a room full of yogis on their mats, or the therapeutic space. My passion is found in creating an atmosphere to whole-heartedly share our experiences of living this life; the joy, sorrow, pain, highlights and everything in between. You deserve a place to be seen and heard. Drop your shoulders, take a deep breath and let life pause for a minute while we figure this out together. The human experience is complex (that's an understatement), and I am so honoured to support you as we traverse through the messiness of life, one step at a time.
