OUR PARTNERED COUNSELORS
Angela Merzetti
LTC-C
Hey mama, I’m Angela!

I’m a Licensed Counselling Therapist-Candidate with the College of Counselling Therapists of New Brunswick. I graduated Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University in 2018. After a 7 year background supporting women in a domestic violence outreach role, I started my maternal mental practice when I was a few months postpartum with my twins. I absolutely love what I do, and have such a passion for helping women navigate motherhood.
I consider myself an integrative therapist, going with the flow of what my client needs in any given session, using a number of different frameworks and strategies as they become useful. I am fully perinatal mental health trained, and an EMDRIA approved EMDR trained therapist.
I pride myself on being authentic and relatable with my clients. I've yet to meet a client I didn't have something in common with, and I will take every opportunity to bond over our mutual interests and life experience. I won't hesitate to share some of myself with you when I think it will benefit you to know that I relate and understand. The relationship built between you and your therapist is responsible for about 80% of your success in therapy - the rest doesn't matter if I don't show up authentically.
Valerie Grenier
MA, R-PSYCH
Hi there, I’m Valérie, a registered psychologist, an EMDR certified therapist, and a survivor of my own difficult postpartum journey (see blog post for my personal story). I have a specialized private practice in perinatal mental health where I provide counselling services to individuals and couples experiencing challenges during the important stages of family building and parenthood. Specifically, I provide services and support for those affected by infertility, miscarriage, stillbirth, termination of pregnancy, prenatal diagnosis and stays within NICU, birth trauma, anxiety and/or mood disorders during pregnancy, and postpartum depression and/or anxiety.
I am passionate about helping others gain the skills and confidence to take control of their mental health so they can live a life that’s full of joy and fulfillment. I strongly believe every person deserves a safe space, individualized care, and a warm connection to a therapist who can help. That’s where I come in. I invite you to visit my website to learn about me, my professional background, my qualifications and see if I could be a good fit for you. I am here to help you be more present and less overwhelmed in your motherhood journey.
I look forward to working with you, and seeing what we can do together.

Heidi Langford
BA PSYCH, RSW, MSW
My name is Heidi Langford, BA Psych, RSW, MSW. I have an extensive background providing mental health support to individuals and families. This includes experience and training related to addictions, trauma, and various mental health issues. More recently I completed a Master of Social work with special focus on the topic of postpartum distress and maternal mental health. I currently work part-time in public service providing individual and family based mental health counselling. I also have a private practice called Three Stones Counselling, which is focused on interventions that support individuals and families through life transitions inclusive of perinatal issues, employment changes, and other developmental issues faced by families. My work is informed by various approaches including cognitive behavioural models which breakdown thoughts, feelings, behaviours, and provide skills to gain more clarity and calm while navigating intense emotions. I am passionate about supporting women to explore their feelings about motherhood and developing more empowering narratives about ourselves in this transition. When women and their families come to me for support they can expect a non-judgemental space to explore themselves and leave with solutions that they can feel good about.
Alina Lowenberger
RSW, CC-PMH
Hey there, my name is Alina and I am the face of Saorsa Wellness! A little about my background... I completed my Bachelor of Social Work in 2014 and started my career working in the education sector in a student and family support role. In 2020, I moved to a rural community and started working as a Clinical Counsellor with a local family services branch. This opportunity opened the doors to start working with many perinatal clients through our ongoing counselling services and the Rapid Access Counselling program with Counselling Connect - this is where I found my passion within this work. I started to recognize the limited services for the perinatal population while working with clients, as well as navigating my own difficult postpartum journey when my son was born in 2022.In 2024, I completed the certification process to become Canadian Perinatal Mental Health Certified (CC-PMH). Moving forward, I have more plans to complete further perinatal specific certifications in the coming years! My private practice has been going since 2020, with the primary focus on women's wellness. This is now shifting to perinatal wellness and support. Primary focus areas being perinatal anxiety, perinatal depression, mom rage, navigating mom and parental guilt, default parenting and Internal Family Systems (IFS) language/tools (note: I am not fully certified in IFS - we utilize language and tools within my scope of practice).Education and relevant certifications:•Bachelor of Social Work (BSW, RSW)•Canadian Certified Perinatal Mental Health (CC-PMH)•Internal Family Systems for Perinatal Populations•Trauma Counselling Certificate
Sharon Kamble - coming soon!
BSW, RSW, MACP (Candidate)
Hello my name is Sharon Kamble, a mom to 3 girls ages 2, 8 and 13! Most often my down time is spent enjoying nature, art, and culture. Connecting in community on an individual and collective level is definitely my favorite past time. Most recently, I have opened up my own mental health clinic as I’ve dedicated my professional growth to research and development of female mental health for the past 8 years. Perinatal mental health has been foundational to the work that I’ve done on a holistic level whether it be influencing government policies on a local, national, or international level or within the school system from elementary, high school, or post-secondary classroom settings. Since birthing my first daughter, while I was a teenage mother I’ve always known how intersected our systems are within motherhood and the strain that it has impacted my own self identity. Reflecting back I would say, my greatest life lesson has been my own self compassion during my pre-and post- natal health. Being a mother has granted me purpose to cultivate safe spaces not only for myself but others who feel affirmed as I share tools, strategies, and resources of what it took to transform my own life into what it is today. Knowing the value of healing our postpartum journey has equipped me with recognizing how pivotal the opportunity is in means of leading our virtual sessions here at Mother May I. A great honor to walk alongside yourself in means of supporting your own healing so that you can connect with your little in the ways that you are born to do! In the ways that you’ve dreamed of ever since your were a little girl. Excited to witness all that is in store for you.

My approach utilizes several therapeutic modalities, which integrate solution-focused, strength-based and family systems theory. These approaches can be utilized to empower women to navigate challenges in mental health, loss and traumatic experiences during their perinatal journey. My passion about perinatal mental health continually motivates my desire to attain further knowledge and professional training in this realm.
