About the event

"Join us in beautiful Saskatoon for an empowering and impactful event as we host Flora's Walk for Perinatal Mental Health”. This walk is not only an opportunity to come together as a community, but also a chance to raise funds for our non-profit organization, Mother May I. This year 75% of the funds raised stay to local organizations and 25% will go towards the advocacy efforts of the Canadian Perinatal Mental Health Collaborative (cpmhc.ca).

Mother May I is a non profit organization dedicated to creating greater awareness around perinatal mental health, a topic that is often overlooked and misunderstood. We firmly believe that no parent should ever feel alone in their struggles, especially during the transformative journey of pregnancy and early parenthood.

Through our non-profit, we offer a wide range of vital resources and support. Our peer support groups provide a safe space for individuals to honestly share their experiences, connect with others who understand, and find solace in the knowledge that they are not alone.

In addition, we are proud to offer financial assistance for counseling services to those who do not have coverage and are actively struggling and in need of help. We believe that mental health support should be accessible to all, regardless of financial circumstances.

In an effort to support the broader community, we donate baby products such as diapers, wipes, and formula to local community fridges. This initiative aims to alleviate the financial burden on families and ensure that basic necessities are accessible for both mothers and their infants. Every year we collect these items at our walk and with funds raised we hope to consistently contribute to the community fridge.

By participating in Flora's Walk for Perinatal Mental Health and joining our fundraising efforts, you are helping us reach a broader audience, increase awareness, and directly support those who need it most. Together, we can make a lasting impact on the lives of parents and families in our community.

Don't miss this opportunity to walk, connect, and embrace the power of community as we strive for better understanding and support for perinatal mental health. Your participation, donations, and support are crucial in making a difference. Join us in Saskatoon on May 5th 2024 for Flora's Walk for Perinatal Mental Health!
